Andreas Kowalewski is a designer, born in Berlin and based in Hamburg. After finishing his cabinetmaker apprenticeship, he studied at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen/ Germany and graduated with a master’s degree in industrial design. His interdisciplinary design studio collaborates with several internationally renowned brands such as Ligne Roset, Kundalini, Philips, Normann Copenhagen and Miyazaki. His Studio’s work encompasses a broad spectrum of design, working within the fields of product, furniture, consumer electronics, lighting, identity and strategic design. Over the course of his long-term partnerships and experience with various other companies and design brands, he has developed an in-depth knowledge of the industry. His design creations have been awarded with numerous design prizes, such as the recent German Design Award in Gold 2018 and have been presented at various fairs and museums such as the Stedelijk or Marta.
Robin Scholtysik was born in 1991 in Düsseldorf. After his work experience as a carpenter, he studied at the Academy of Design and in parallel at the master carpenter’s school in Münster. Already during his design studies he developed his passion for furniture and home accessories. He graduated in 2017 as a designer and master in carpentry. His designs are inspired by the daily life and needs of people. Small observations and human gestures give impulses for his ideas, while his work is also strongly influenced by manufacturing processes and the capability of materials. Robin currently works at a design studio in Münster specialised in interior design.
